Beating sense into the day's news

Ultimate Power...

Pakistan's military dictator and U.S. ally of convenience Pervez Musharraf has just moved to consolidate his power. Unhappy with the country's Prime Minister, Musharraf has apparently pushed him to resign, and has annoited his successor. The new man, former Citibank exec Shaukat Aziz, will almost certainly be rubber-stamped by the regime-friendly parliament.

Machiavelli eat your heart out.

Read about it at the Financial Times.
