I just caught a few minutes of Dr. Rice's Senate confirmation hearing, during which she was being questioned by Sen. Barak Obama (or, as he is known by Sen. Ted Kennedy, "Osama... Osama bin... Obama").
Sen. Obama opened his remarks by noting the poetic justice of his and her participation in the hearing falling just a day after Martin Luther King day. I was thinking the same thing.
He then went on to raise an important set of questions on nuclear proliferation in a clear, civil, business-like fashion that contrasted diametrically with the earlier ad hominem diatribes of Sen. Boxer.
The real question, of course, is how long do we have to wait before Obama and Rice run against each other for the office of the president of the United States?
