This is just swell. Publishers Weekly is reporting that Doubleday has purchased the rights to a book written by Al Qaeda leaders, which the article refers to as "the Mein Kampf of the Al Qaeda movement." I don't have a subscription to Publishers Weekly, so I can't see the full length article, but the blurb is here if you are interested.
Strangely enough, the Doubleday editor who acquired the property is Adam Bellow.
This is an obvious point, but, if Doubleday can find these people in order to give them their royalty checks, shouldn't the government be able to find them as well? Sigh.
