Pajamaland is having a field day! Earlier today, the AP ran a photo of a U.S. serviceman being "held hostage" in Iraq -- a photo that turns out to have been faked using a toy action figure. But where's the curiosity about the perps?
Did Islamists put this image together in a sorry attempt to win concessions from the U.S. military? Seems unlikely given that the Arabic banner text is reportedly sloppy and error-ridden.
My guess is that a couple of PsyOps guys were staggering back from the Canteen after the successful Iraqi elections, feeling a little giddy, and lookin' to make trouble. (If they were sober they'd probably have gotten the Arabic text right :-).
