Today's edition of the Wall Street Journal has a detailed and fair appraisal of Jon Stewart's comedic and political axe-grinding skills.
As someone who is not socially conservative, I don't take most of Stewart's barbs personally, but I have to say that the Daily Show's relentless condescension toward the majority of the electorate wore thin after a while. I haven't watched the show since the fall of 2001 -- the last time Stewart put his loathing for America on hold.
