The Leftist, virulently anti-Bush British newspaper The Guardian ran a commentary today titled "Perhaps the neocons got it right in the Middle East." (Hat tip Little Green Footballs).
My favorite paragraph:
It seems wrong for either neocon true believers or liberal sceptics to rush to judgment. We of the latter persuasion must keep reciting the mantra: "We want Iraq to come right, even if this vindicates George Bush."
Libertarian and conservative optimists should be reciting our own mantra: "May the Iraqi people find the courage, wisdom, and determination to make their nation a success."
And we should once again thank our men and women in uniform, and the armed forces of our Coalition partners, for giving them that shot at success.
