The Wall Street Journal's Best of the Web feature ran the following jibe earlier today:
The Maine Legislature is considering secession--not from the union but from the Eastern time zone. A legislative committee has endorsed a bill that, subject to voter approval, would move the Pine Tree State into the Atlantic zone, which currently includes only a few obscure Canadian provinces. (Yeah, we know, but these are even more obscure than the other ones.)
What's particularly galling about this attack is that its author, James Taaronto*, actually bears the name of a Canadian province!
