SA-REEEEEEEEN

Since Andrew's been too busy to post for a while, I thought I'd chime in with a little film-related fare.

Pre-screenings of the new flick Serenity are taking place around the country in the next few days, and yours truly will hopefully be on hand in Seattle with my brother James, as an accredited member of the Pajamahedeen.

Clever bit of shameless promotion if you ask me. (Or is that a shameless bit of clever promotion?)

p.s. Kudos to anyone who gets the title reference of this post.

UPDATE 9/24/05:

The organizer of these previews sent email saying that they want us to post the synopsis of the film and include a link to their website.

Joss Whedon, the Oscar® - and Emmy - nominated writer/director responsible for the worldwide television phenomena of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE, ANGEL and FIREFLY, now applies his trademark compassion and wit to a small band of galactic outcasts 500 years in the future in his feature film directorial debut, Serenity. The film centers around Captain Malcolm Reynolds, a hardened veteran (on the losing side) of a galactic civil war, who now ekes out a living pulling off small crimes and transport-for-hire aboard his ship, Serenity. He leads a small, eclectic crew who are the closest thing he has left to family –squabbling, insubordinate and undyingly loyal.

Unfortunately, the link they've provided in order to allow me to show some of the shots from the film keeps crashing IExplorer. I'll add those if and when I successfully get them.
